On 19 June 2024, Dr. Samuel A. Zacate Director General of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) attended the meeting with the Private Sector Advisory Council-Healthcare Sector Group (PSAC-HSG) called by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the Malacañang Palace.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the agencies/departments and other private health sector groups. In the meeting, the PSAC-HSG reported to the President specific programs that aim to benefit the Filipino people. For its part, the FDA presented to the President the Regulatory Initiatives called the 5-Point Agenda. This 5-Point Agenda includes Modernization, Harmonization, Organization, Digitalization and Education. It aims to advance local drug manufacturing in the country through improvements in digitalization targeting a 73.4% completion rate.

For the fulfillment thereof, the FDA ensures that efforts are being achieved in relation to Pharmaceutical Inspection Convention and Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S) and the World Health Organization Global Benchmarking Tool (WHO GBT) Maturity Level.
