The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Isabela State University (ISU) sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last 20 March 2024, to support the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Isabela.

Bigyang-halaga, Bangon Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (BBMSMEs) initiative underscores a concerted effort to provide MSMEs with the necessary guidance and regulatory assistance to MSMEs, facilitating the registration and compliance process for their products. Through capacity-building initiatives and information dissemination, the agency seeks to empower entrepreneurs to adhere to safety and quality standards, fostering consumer confidence and market access.

The MOU signing ceremony, graced by FDA North Luzon Cluster Director Gomel C. Gabuna and ISU President Dr. Ricmar C. Aquino, signaled a new era of partnership between the regulatory agency and the academic institution. Director Gabuna articulated the essence of the collaboration, stating, “Today, we embark on a journey of empowerment, innovation, and possibility. Together, let us harness the power of partnership to empower MSMEs, unleash their creativity, and build a future filled with promise and prosperity for future generations.”
